Nick Curtis

Nick Curtis
Commercial Director

Nick is one of the two founding shareholders in DHG Hydro and holds the position of Commercial Director. Nick trained as an accountant followed by a number of commercial roles in the energy sector in Europe with Edison Energy. He then worked in the banking and finance sector lending to power and infrastructure projects.

Since 2008 he has worked at DHG Hydro in a wide ranging role that covers the development, construction and operations of our portfolio of power projects.

James McKellar

James McKellar
Financial Director

James is one of the two founding shareholders of DHG Hydro and now in charge of the finance team of DHG and running the external communications department.

James has twenty plus years working in finance in the renewable and power business and has a long and successful career in the City most recently being Co-Head of the Barclays Capital Power Team which also included being head of Barclays Capital renewable energy business.

James was also one of the first supporters of finance for the renewable energy industry in the UK as far back as 1992 winning a wind energy pioneer award.

Eugene Craig

Eugene Craig
Technical Director

Eugene has been working in various engineering roles for over 25 years including research and the shipping industry and has specialised in Hydro for the past 15 years. Eugene's initial specialism in hydro was in the electrical and control system design, build and commissioning.

Since joining DHG Hydro Eugene has worked on the technical aspects of the site finding and project development. Most recently Eugene has been project managing the successful construction of the Russel Burn Hydro project which has been a particularly sensitive project due to its location adjacent to a working fish farm.

Jacinta MacDermot

Jacinta MacDermot
Planning and Development Manager

Jacinta has been working in Renewable Energy for 15 years, first in the Information Department at the Centre for Alternative Technology in Mid Wales and then running the organisation's consultancy service. Jacinta moved on to Mid Wales Energy Agency where she managed community renewable energy projects before starting her own consultancy business, working mainly on small to medium scale biomass, wind, PV and hydro projects in the UK and abroad.

Now a key member of the technical team at DHG Hydro, she is involved in project development and management, ranging from identifying potential sites through to seeing schemes through the planning and licensing process and taking projects ready to build.

Alison Kwan

Alison Kwan
Contracts Manager

Alison has over 15 years of relevant experience in energy and in banking.

In the energy sector, she has worked on both conventional power transactions and in renewable energy transactions including wind, landfill gas and hydro.

In banking, her most recent role was as Director in the Energy and Infrastructure team at BNP Paribas in London.

As she has worked both as a developer of power projects and as a lender to them, this combined experience gives her a rounded view of what terms may be necessary within contracts to be acceptable to each of the various parties and to be financeable, thereby providing valuable contribution to the DHG Hydro team.

Alison has an MSc in Environmental Technology from Imperial College London.
